From the Gateway of India, find your way to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. Yes, I know, what a name right?!

The CSMVS was formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum and it’s one of the best museums in India.

The architecture of the building is a great example of the Indo-Saracenic style and the collection in the museum provides an excellent examination of Indian historical art.

3. Rajabai Clock Tower

The Rajabai Tower is part of the University campus in Mumbai and dates back to the old colonial Bombay times. The university was built in 1878 and is a great example of the impressive Indo-Saracenic revival architecture.

4. Flora Fountain & Marine Drive

Walk your way to the pretty Flora fountain, which is dedicated to Flora, the Roman goddess of spring. The fountain is surrounded by massive monumental buildings and there are some great premium restaurants in the area.

When you walk down the road, you will see the Marine Drive, a long stroke of city-beach that makes a perfect hangout place with great views over the Indian Ocean.

Go back from where you came and walk to the other end of this part of the city, to the Asiatic Society Library Town Hall.

5. Asiatic Society Library Town Hall

Another great monument to visit in this Mumbai city guide itinerary, the Asiatic Society Library Town Hall. This historical building is famous for several arrangements that were made during the era of British colonial rule.

7. Crawford Market

The last stop in this Mumbai City Guide Itinerary is Crawford market. It’s located just a bit north of the Victoria Terminus. Crawford (Mahatma Phule Mandai) is an authentic bazaar market that sells everything from spices to produce and chocolates to the best souvenirs.

The market’s building has a mighty central hall with three enormous gateways and an elegant clock tower. It was built in 1869.

You will need at least 1-2 hours here to explore Crawford market.
