How many days you will need in Udaipur
It all depends on how many activities you want to do. And because most of them are located quite far from Udaipur (you will need a day-trip for most of them), you could use Udaipur perfectly as a base camp where you stay for 2-5 days depending on what you want to do in the area.
The city of Udaipur itself isn’t huge and if you are only planning to stay in the city itself then 1-2 days will be plenty enough. Tip: Restaurant Ambrai is a place in Udaipur you’ll definitely want to go to for a nice view on Lake Pichola from the terrace.
Explore the small streets and many shops

The Monsoon Palace
A great place for a panoramic view of Udaipur’s lakes, palaces, and surrounding countryside. The monsoon palace is a hilltop palace that’s definitely worth a visit. The palace is not in great shape, but the surrounding sights over the landscape are marvelous. It’s located a little bit outside of the city center, not that far from Saheliyon-Ki-Bari (read above) actually.
